Shri Kedarnath Jyotirlinga Temple

    Description

Kedarnath Temple is one of the most sacred Hindu shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva, located in the Himalayas of Uttarakhand, India, at an altitude of about 3,583 meters. Surrounded by snow-covered peaks and near the Mandakini River, it is part of the Char Dham pilgrimage. The temple is believed to have been built by the Pandavas and later revived by Adi Shankaracharya. Constructed from massive stone slabs, it shows strong ancient architecture. Due to heavy snowfall, it remains open only from April to November. Pilgrims trek through scenic mountain routes to seek blessings and spiritual peace here.
