Shri Naina Devi Ji Temple is a highly revered Shakti Peeth situated in the Bilaspur district of Himachal Pradesh. Dedicated to Goddess Naina Devi, a supreme form of Shakti, the temple is recognized among the 51/52 Shakti Peeths and is worshipped as one of the Nav Shakti of the state.

It is approximately 108 km from Chandigarh, 36 km from Nangal, and 20 km from Bhakra Dam. The nearest airport is Chandigarh, while Anandpur Sahib and Nangal are the closest railheads. Pilgrims can reach the temple via steps or a ropeway.

Legendary Origins

According to Hindu belief, during the sacrifice of Goddess Sati, her body parts fell at various locations, forming the sacred Shakti Peeths. This site is believed to be where her eyes (Naina) fell, which led to the worship of the Goddess as Naina Devi.
